Christine Tatum, president of Society for Professional Journalists (and a co-worker of mine), is posting links to all SPJ member blogs on her blog. If you are, and you do, send her the link.
Now, I don’t think the current state of blogroll-style links is particularly useful (which is why I haven’t started mine yet). Sure, it lets the blogs that are blogrolled know you like their stuff, and maybe it’s good for a couple clicks, but it’s mostly just dead-linkwood. There was a blogger, I thought it was Mindy McAdams (it’s not), who displayed the blogroll links along with a link to the most-current entry from that blog, which I’m pretty sure is the way blogrolls ought to be done. Yup.

I used to have a thing called “Feevy” (http://www.feevy.com/) in my blog sidebar. When I switched to WordPress, I dropped it because I thought I would search out a WP plug-in to do the same thing. Haven’t done that yet. Thanks for the reminder! It was nice to have those recent posts on the side.
